Trunki Glide Ride-on Luggage - Terrance
There is a particular kind of travel with young kids where the suitcase becomes the problem. It gets wheeled into shins, left in the middle of walkways, or carried by a parent who is already holding three bags and a jacket. The Trunki Glide is a different kind of kids suitcase - one that makes the journey part of the adventure rather than the part everyone wants to get through.
Terrance is the original. The bright blue body, green horns and orange accents have been the face of Trunki since the brand launched in 2006, and for good reason: kids recognise him, want to sit on him, and will walk through airports under their own steam just to be near him. For parents, that matters.
A kids suitcase that pulls double duty at the gate
The Trunki Glide Terrance works as genuine carry-on luggage and as a ride-on toy, and it does both jobs properly. The 18 litre clamshell holds a week's worth of outfits for a three-year-old, or a good haul of snacks, colouring books and favourite toys for the journey. Inside, elastic packing straps keep contents tidy, and a pocket with a safety strap is sized for a stuffed toy - because Teddy needs a seatbelt too.
The smooth glide castor wheels make a real difference in airports. Unlike original Trunki ride-ons, the Glide model turns rather than just rolling forward, which means kids can steer themselves rather than grinding to a halt every time the path curves. When little legs give out, the tow strap clips to the front handle horns and converts Terrance into a pull-along - or into carry luggage via the top handle. Dimensions are 46 x 20.5 x 31cm and 1.7kg unloaded. Carry-on approved for most airlines - check the Trunki Airline Checklist before you fly.

About Trunki
Trunki is a British design icon, founded by Rob Law in 2003. Trunki ride-on suitcases turned the airport experience for families upside down: kids ride or are towed, parents save their arms, and the suitcase carries up to 50kg of small human while looking nothing like luggage. Loved by families in 100 and more countries.
Yes - at 46 x 20.5 x 31cm, the Trunki Glide fits most airline carry-on and underseat requirements. Check the Trunki Airline Checklist before flying as requirements vary between carriers.
50kg. The Glide is built to take adult sitting weight - it is unlikely your child, or you at the departure gate, will exceed this.
The key difference is the wheels. The Glide has smooth castor wheels that steer, rather than fixed wheels that only roll forward. This makes airports and hotel lobbies significantly more manageable. The Glide also has lockable storage.
The tow strap clips to the front horn handles. A parent can pull the Trunki through busy spaces - with or without a child riding. It also converts to a carry strap for stairs and overhead racks.
Wipe the hard plastic exterior with soap and water or antibacterial wipes. Interior fabric: damp cloth. Do not machine wash or submerge.
