Nursing Bra

A well-fitting nursing bra is one of the most important investments you can make as a breastfeeding mother, offering the support, comfort, and feeding access you need around the clock. Our range includes soft wire-free everyday bras, supportive underwire styles for later in your breastfeeding journey, and comfortable sleep bras for night feeds. Designed to move with your changing body and make every feed a little easier.

Most breastfeeding experts recommend buying your first nursing bra in the last few weeks of pregnancy, ideally after 36 weeks when your size has largely stabilised before birth. Buy one or two to start and wait until your milk has come in and your size has settled before investing in a full set. Many women find their size changes significantly in the first few weeks postpartum as milk supply is established.

Nursing bras feature specially designed clips or drop-down cups that can be released with one hand, allowing you to expose just enough for feeding without removing the bra. The fabric and construction are generally softer and more flexible to accommodate the natural changes in breast size throughout the day and as milk supply varies. Many nursing bras are also wire-free to avoid putting pressure on milk ducts.

Wire-free nursing bras are strongly recommended in the early months of breastfeeding when milk ducts are active and breast tissue is particularly sensitive. Underwire can press on milk ducts and contribute to blocked ducts or mastitis if it does not fit perfectly. Once breastfeeding is more established and your size has stabilised, a correctly fitted underwire nursing bra can provide excellent support for many women.

Having three to five nursing bras is practical for most mothers, allowing for rotation through the washing cycle. You might opt for two everyday styles, one or two sleep bras for night feeds, and a sports or more supportive option for active days. Starting with two and adding as you understand your own preferences and supply is a sensible approach.

The band should sit firmly and horizontally around your rib cage without riding up. The cups should contain the breast fully without spillage over the top or sides. When the clip is undone, the cup should fall away easily to allow feeding without awkward adjustments. If you are unsure, seeking a professional bra fitting during pregnancy is highly recommended as sizing can change significantly.
