Bath Tub & Safety

Bathtime is one of the most enjoyable parts of your baby's daily routine, and having the right bath tub and safety gear makes all the difference. From ergonomic newborn baths and bath seats to non-slip mats and temperature-checking accessories, we've got everything you need to keep bathtime safe, comfortable, and fun. Shop our range of baby bath tubs and bath safety products for newborns through to toddlers.

Newborn bath tubs are compact and shaped to support tiny bodies, usually lasting until around 6 months. Some models are designed to grow with your baby and include an insert or sling for newborns that can be removed as they get bigger. Full-size baby baths fit into a regular bathtub or on a stand and typically last through to 18-24 months. Foldable and collapsible options are great for smaller bathrooms or travel.

Always support your newborn's head and neck during bathing, and never leave them unattended even for a moment. Use a newborn bath insert or sling so they are secure and reclined. Check the water temperature before placing baby in - it should be warm but not hot, around 37-38 degrees Celsius. A bath thermometer takes the guesswork out of this step.

Bath seats are designed for babies who can sit up independently, usually from around 6 months. They provide a suction-based ring or frame that helps baby stay upright in the tub. Important: bath seats are a bathing aid, not a safety device. Never leave your baby unattended in a bath seat, as they can tip over. Always stay within arm's reach.

Absolutely. Non-slip bath mats provide grip on the bottom of the tub and reduce the risk of slipping for both baby and parents. Look for mats with strong suction cups underneath and a soft, textured surface on top. Some mats also include a temperature indicator that changes colour if the water is too hot, which is a handy safety feature.

For newborns, two to three baths a week is generally enough as their skin can dry out easily. Between baths, a gentle wipe-down with a warm damp cloth is all you need for the face, neck, hands, and nappy area. As babies become more mobile and start eating solid foods, you may want to bath them more frequently - daily baths are fine for older babies and toddlers as long as you use gentle, soap-free products.
